Basingstoke College of Technology (BCOT) has had a long standing Equal Opportunities Policy in place which required bringing up to date with current legislation and guidelines. BCOT also required support in ensuring that all aspects of the policy were implemented within the college. BCOT sought Serene Communications help in conducting an independent assessment of their equal opportunities policy together with assistance to the management team to lead implementation.
Serene Communications worked with the Human Resources team to highlight possible improvements in the policy. Following the initial support, Serene Communications developed and facilitated a short training course for the senior management team on Equal Opportunities Legislation and Best Practice.
BCOT has developed and established a highly effective policy which has ensured that the human resource processes and practices within the college are currently up to date and are compliant with the legal requirements.
