Serene Communications recently assisted with the organisation of an event providing voices of young people on the issues being covered at the 57th Commission on the Status of Women.
Taking place 6 March 2013 in New York, the event welcomed our Director Zarin Hainsworth as a guest. Zarin, who has been assisting young people to attend CSW for a number of years, was fortunate to be able to attend, representing NAWO. This year nine young people, aged from 16 to 23, attended CSW as part of the NAWO youth caucus which has been growing over the last few years. They spoke at a number of events including the Voices of Youth.
Serene is happy to be involved in engaging with young people and assist them to be proactive citizens and aware of the situation of women and girls globally.
