Public event to be held on 28th October by the Overseas Development Institute. The event aims to look at how to balance political and public support for the UK’s development efforts. Also, to put increased focus on ‘beyond aid’ issues of the Sustainable Development Goals, such as, trade, tax and climate change. They will look at how to ensure a cross-government approach to monitoring and measuring the UK’s international development impact.
Kevin Watkins, executive director of ODI will chair. Speakers are: Alison Evans (Chief Commissioner, Independent Commission for Aid Impact) and Stephen Twigg MP (Chair International Development Committee), with others to be confirmed.
